How To Write A CV (Why Having a CV Is Important)
Applying for a job is probably one of the most exciting but nerve-wracking times in our life. We want to make a good impression, get our introduction to the company right and make sure that the information they receive is encouraging, informative, reliable and honest. Having an up-to-date prepared CV is important if we want to be ready to apply for a job that suddenly appeals to us.

Here are some other ideas to support your childs PSHE lessons…
- Look at jobs advertised online,in the newspaper or through an agency and talk about what is on offer with your child.
- Look at the qualifications, skills and requirements that the company is asking for and discuss how you might demonstrate these.
- Show your child how they might apply for a Saturday job that is advertised to help them practise the process of writing a CV.
- Talk about the type of language you would use and information that you would include when writing a cover letter and CV.
