Today Your Child Learned…

Dear Parent & Guardian,
We are excited to share that your child has completed the following PSHE lesson. Check out our overview and top tips to support their development…

Today’s PSHE Lesson

Family Relationships (Caring For Me And My Body)

Most families struggle with common family pressures and with family relationships sometimes. As children you can develop skills, learning how to get on with people, resolve arguments, build friendships and recognise good family relationships. But if you need extra help, there are more ways to deal with family pressure.

What We Covered In The PSHE Lesson

Here’s what we went through today…

  • The names of different parts of the body (neck, shoulder, arms etc).
  • Why it’s important to keep their body clean and healthy and how to do this.
  • Who might help them with personal hygiene?
  • What to do if they feel unwell or are worried about their body or health.
  • Appropriate touching.

How You Can Help From Home

Here’s what you can talk about during dinner…

  • Talk to your child about commitment family has to make with each other.
  • Discuss with your child difficulties families may find themselves in.
  • Ask your child what they would do to manage difficult situations as a family.

Go Above & Beyond

Here are some other ideas to support your childs PSHE lessons…

  • Families have a commitment to each other, no matter what the situation is.
  • These are the essential needs previously discussed.
  • Difficult times may cause stress on some families.
  • It is important that we all have the tools and skills to manage these situations.

When it comes to your child’s development, teachers and parents are better together! By aligning our goals and education techniques, we can better realise our vision of positively preparing your child for their future.

The pupils at our school are really enjoying the lifewise scheme. The scheme is very staff-friendly and easy to monitor. More staff are now teaching lifewise as a consequence and all the DfE statutory guidance (+more) is covered. The staff at lifewise are extremely professional. As it is a digital platform, lessons are constantly being up-dated and improved.

Lifewise is a fantastic tool to use. It is easy and clear to navigate and as well as in class we have used Lifewise during remote learning sessions, whilst in lockdown. I would thoroughly recommend this 'wellbeing session' tool to any school. It is exceptional.

Lifewise was so helpful for my online ELSA sessions. The format gave the children the chance to express their emotions. They loved the quiz and enjoyed the conversation.
