Today Your Child Learned…
Dear Parent & Guardian,
We are excited to share that your child has completed the following PSHE lesson. Check out our overview and top tips to support their development…
Today’s PSHE Lesson
Teamwork (Teamwork Helps Us To Achieve)
There will be times in our lives when we’ll be required to work as part of a team or take a role in a group activity, inevitably, we’ll realise that teamwork can make a task simpler and quicker to complete with more people working on it. The expertise the team can bring together also allows different skills to be employed on the project or task therefore increasing the chance of success and achievement.
What We Covered In The PSHE Lesson
Here’s what we went through today…
- Different professions which require teams to work together like surgeons, nurses, teachers and footballers.
- How communication is important in teamwork.
How You Can Help From Home
Here’s what you can talk about during dinner…
- Talk to your child about jobs or projects where you’ve had to work as part of a team and what it was like to be on a team.
- Ask your child why communication in a team is important.
Go Above & Beyond
Here are some other ideas to support your childs PSHE lessons…
- Talk about situations at school or clubs where your child has experienced working as part of a team.
- Did they enjoy working as a group or team and did they know what their role was in that team?
- Talk about what makes teamwork a good way to work and also the difficulties that may arise with working as a group.
- Try to involve your child in a task or activity that the family are working on, like packing for a holiday or cooking a meal and give them a role to play that they take ownership of and feel successful in doing.
When it comes to your child’s development, teachers and parents are better together! By aligning our goals and education techniques, we can better realise our vision of positively preparing your child for their future.
