Today Your Child Learned…
Dear Parent & Guardian,
We are excited to share that your child has completed the following PSHE lesson. Check out our overview and top tips to support their development…
Today’s PSHE Lesson
The Importance Of Physical Activity (What Is Physical Activity?)
Many of us enjoy sport or being active, understand the importance of physical activity and how it helps our bodies and minds to stay healthy. Understanding that physical activity keeps our bodies moving and working better, being inactive has a detrimental effect on our organs, bodies and minds.
What We Covered In The PSHE Lesson
Here’s what we went through today…
- How physical activity can be any bodily movement using muscles that requires us to use energy.
- Their own daily lives to determine if they are being active enough.
How You Can Help From Home
Here’s what you can talk about during dinner…
- Ask your child if they know what physical activity is.
- Talk to your child about how you manage to keep fit, healthy and active.
- Encourage physical activity/take part with them.
Go Above & Beyond
Here are some other ideas to support your childs PSHE lessons…
- Look at a typical week or day in your family, how active are you all?
- Which days are the most active and when do the family spend time in front of screens or being inactive?
- Discuss how you can build even small amounts of physical activity like a walk, a bike ride or a game of football in the garden into your weekly routine so that being active, getting fresh air and increasing your heart rate becomes a normal part of your week.
When it comes to your child’s development, teachers and parents are better together! By aligning our goals and education techniques, we can better realise our vision of positively preparing your child for their future.
