Today Your Child Learned…
Dear Parent & Guardian,
We are excited to share that your child has completed the following PSHE lesson. Check out our overview and top tips to support their development…
Today’s PSHE Lesson
It’S Ok Not To Be Ok (How To Help Others Who Aren’t Feeling Ok)
Sometimes we need to feel ok ourselves in order to be able to help others that may be feeling sad or unhappy. Knowing that there are tips and strategies that we use to help ourselves and others is what we have discussed today.
What We Covered In The PSHE Lesson
Here’s what we went through today…
- What we can do to make others feel better if they’re not feeling ok like invite them to play a game to cheer them up or advise them to talk to somebody they can trust.
- How listening to someone may sometimes be all they need to make them feel better.
How You Can Help From Home
Here’s what you can talk about during dinner…
- Encourage your child to help family members and friends when they know that they are feeling sad.
- Show your child how to comfort and help others when they’re not feeling good.
Go Above & Beyond
Here are some other ideas to support your childs PSHE lessons…
- Your role as a parent is often the best way to show your child how to help others deal with their difficulties.
- By asking your child how they’re feeling, giving them a spontaneous cuddle, rewarding them if they’ve earned a treat and showing that you have time to spend with them and listen, will help them to help their friends.
When it comes to your child’s development, teachers and parents are better together! By aligning our goals and education techniques, we can better realise our vision of positively preparing your child for their future.
